Feather-a-Nest is a non-profit organization for the specific charitable purpose to assist low-income person(s)/families transitioning from shelters to their own housing. By furnishing living spaces with their housing needs through products and services designed to make their interior living space dignified, clean, safe and functional, we hope to furnish homes with Hope and Dignity!
To create a dignified, functional home, we partner with other organizations to identify low-income families in the Southeastern Wisconsin area in need of clean, safe, and affordable housing and with other organizations to identify available housing in the Southeastern Wisconsin area for low-income families. We accept monetary and furnishing donations to help families in this transition process.
While we have all been affected by Covid, after a brief interruption in our mission, Feather-A-Nest is back providing furniture and household goods to families transitioning from the homeless shelter to their own residences. Our method of operation has changed slightly. Instead of doing a complete makeover of each home, we are dropping the items off for families to do their own setup. Feather-A-Nest will assemble all items that need to be put together. It allows families to have some ownership in the effort. We hope to resume normal operations once the pandemic has subsided.
